Manciano, private collection
Arturo Pascucci was Paride’s much younger relative – Arturo was born in 1895 – whom the painter held in high esteem and with whom he was very close. As director of a branch of the Banco di Roma, Arturo helped him with practical, administrative, and financial matters and was a strong support to him in the last period of his life in Manciano. In this portrait Arturo is shown at about the age of thirty, elegant and self-assured, with an intense expression and lively intelligent eyes, communicating his loyal, trustworthy character so greatly appreciated by the artist.
